RED BANK, S.C. — The Lexington County Sheriff's Department said Thursday that it has caught a suspect "white-handed."

The department said 30 residents in Red Bank woke up to their cars spray-painted. Officials said the cars were damaged on Valentine's Day morning.

According to Sheriff Jay Koon, deputies said they encountered Daniel Lee Ennis, 31, panhandling near an Interstate 20 exit Wednesday evening. Authorities said that during a follow-up vandalism investigation, deputies found Ennis with white spray paint on his hands and shoes.
