Richland County shooting leaves two men wounded; victims say they were leaving a party

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. — Authorities say two men were wounded in an overnight shooting in Richland County.

According to the Richland County Sheriff's Department, the victims arrived by private vehicle at an area hospital just before midnight. They told investigators they were shot while leaving a party in the area of S.C. 277 and Fontaine Road and that they were already on the highway at the time.

The sheriff's department said one person was shot in the lower extremities. The other man was shot in the lower extremities and abdomen. Authorities didn't specify their conditions but said both could speak with deputies.
