CLARENDON COUNTY, S.C. — Clarendon School District Two says they will move to virtual learning next week as they deal with the spread of COVID-19.
The district released a statement Tuesday saying it would go to remote work following the Labor Day holiday weekend "in an abundance of caution." They did not make clear how many cases or quarantines they're currently dealing with.
The district said all teachers will report to the building to provide virtual instruction.
Students will be expected to attend all live class meetings on time and participate in all class sessions. They will have to join all of their virtual sessions to be considered present for the day.
The district said parents will get more information soon about class times and schedules.
The district said they'll use the rest of the week to make sure students are ready for the virtual learning experience. They said they'll update at the end of next week their plans for the following week.
Four school in Lexington County have had to move to virtual due to a rise in COVID-19 cases.
