One dead after motorcycle, pickup truck collide on Fort Jackson Boulevard

The accident involved a motorcycle and a pickup truck, the rider of the motorcycle died at the scene.

COLUMBIA, S.C. — A man is dead after a crash between a motorcycle and a pickup truck.

According to a tweet by the Columbia Police Department, a little before 6pm a motorcycle and a pickup truck crashed on Fort Jackson Blvd and Wildcat Drive.

The police department's traffic and safety unit is investigating the fatal crash.

The name of the motorcyclist has not yet been released.

The accident remains under investigation.
