BOWMAN, S.C. — Orangeburg County is holding six elections today to determine mayoral seats.
Bowman was the only municipality in the county hosting both a mayoral and council seat election.
Diana Ransoms, a poll manager, said that at midday, there was a low with foot traffic.
"The turnout has been a little spotty," said Ransoms. "At times it has been a little busy and it slowed down but of course during lunch time and probably by the time when people get off of work they'll start coming in again."
Carmella Mack is a voter who says decisions made today in the races will impact the community.
"It gives you a chance to vote for the person of your choice that will best represent you in your issues in the town of Bowman," said Mack. "We have several, and I pray that the person that is elected as mayor and as council people will represent the people to the best of their ability."

Tanekqua Summers is a roving clerk in Orangeburg County servicing several locations during the elections and says things have been consistent so far.
"I'm just basically checking the numbers so a lot of them from this morning to now," said Summers. "Numbers have gone up with a lot of people coming in to vote but other than that everything running smooth right now."
