RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. — The Columbia-Richland Fire Department says that a two-alarm fire at a commercial facility on Farrow Road is under control.

Chief Aubrey Jenkins said the fire was called in around 10:45 a.m. on Friday at 10010 Farrow Road at Laserform and Machine. Officials said heavy smoke was coming from the back of the facility, and heavy fire was inside when they arrived.

The department said all workers from the facility made it out safely, and no injuries were reported.

The company's website said it specializes in "laser cutting, forming, turret punching, CNC machining, welding, robotic welding, powder coating, hardware insertion, and value-added assembly."

According to Columbia-Richland Fire, the incident started in an oven at the plant that is used to treat metal. Authorities said the fire damaged part of the building.
