Harbison Boulevard at I-26 reopens after major crash

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Drivers heading to the shopping area along Harbison Boulevard had to find alternate routes on Thursday following a major crash.

Just before 2 p.m., the Irmo Fire District said that Harbison Boulevard was closed at the I-26 overpass due to a three-vehicle crash that sent five people to the hospital. Authorities didn't provide details on the injuries or the cause of the crash. While the road was initially expected to remain closed for some time, it has since reopened.
