COLUMBIA, S.C. — Let's start off this week's Skywatch Forecast with some pictures from our WLTX Weather Watchers Facebook Page. The full moon technically is occurring on Wednesday the 16th but, with cloudy conditions the best view we will get is on Tuesday. The "Snow Moon" known as such because of the month's heavy snowfall (up north that is) was on full display this past Tuesday.
As for things we will be able to see this week, we will have a few International Space Station passes but clouds might make things tricky for a few of them. My recommendation for when to view the ISS will be Saturday morning (Feb. 19th). While it is a little bit early, if you grab a nice cup of coffee to keep you warm, the pass will be absolutely amazing!
We have another Space station pass on Monday morning but clouds may be an issue for that one. If not, we will make sure to post about it on social media this weekend.
Also viewable in the mornings we can still easily see Mars and Venus shining brightly in the morning sky. Just look towards the East and they should be pretty easy to find within the hour before sunrise.

As always, let's end things with the nighttime forecast. We will likely be cloudy across the Midlands every day this week except for the weekend thanks to weather systems moving through the region. Friday through Sunday night looks to be clear though so make sure to take some time this weekend to take a look at the sky!
