Richland County announces 'pool season' is open at 3 locations across the county

The Richland County Recreation Commission officially announced the opening of 'pool season'

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Richland County's pools are officially open for the season, officials announced on Thursday.

The Richland County Recreation Commission announced the official start of "pool season" on Thursday, with locations across the region already open. Three pools are open from Tuesday through Saturday throughout the season, offering "free opportunities for summer fun."

The recreation commission said Eastover Park at 1031 Main Street is open from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., St. Andrews Park at 920 Beatty Road is open from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Trenholm Park at 3900 Covenant Road is open from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The commission invited families to come to the parks but said children under 15 must be supervised by an adult who is 18 or older.
